yay for friday

i'm currently posting from the BMU basement. today, i woke up nice and early and was even ready an hour before class. that, my friends, is a first this semester. i award myself a gold star. research methods in psychology was decent, we finished the movie on this very unethical experiment these people did back in the 50's and took a quiz. i saw the cute boy, but he arrived late, so no conversing today. French was good, although we have our first test on monday. for all of chapter one. that is moving fast, my friends. but i am very proud of myself because i sort of made a few friends and invited them to study this weekend. so one week down and i've already got a study group. huzzah! so, i'm on break and i encountered richard houchin who is also on break. we each notified each other that we were on breaks, through the course of our short conversation, and immediately parted ways. what great acquaintances we are. so i came to check if curt had posted his office hours to see if he had any today, but alas he has not. i'm pretty sure he needs to have them permanently posted for everyday of the week, but he'll get around to it. so i'll be hanging out in curt's office until class at one. so you're welcome to come by. especially you curt. since its your office. more later.

we watched a most fabulous video about shrubbery today in American Folklore entitled "Over The Edge." man are little old men who prune their hedges cute.

I have also learned that if you are to travel over around Citrus Ave, over by Enloe, you may encounter a house with an assemblage of bowling balls in the front yard. An eclectic collector resides there, and boy does he love the way those balls shine. Another interesting Chico secret is the man who lives by lindo channel(?) on Manzanita Ave. Apparently, his view of the creek bank from his home was entirely too untidy for his tastes. so he did a little cleanup. he planted some shrubs and flowers, encircling them with tidy pebble circles of course, and even threw in some bird houses. now he has his own personal well-groomed creekbank to look out at.

I will leave you with one last bit wisdom I've picked up today, which I'm planning on making my own personal motto:

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-Dr. Seuss
