emilie is a stud. a rock-hard stud. she got her job at the synthesis and is assigned to review the new chico cabaret production. plus she's cute. and she's moving in with me in June. I am a lucky lady.

Cathy, the lab tech, just came back to work for the first time in a few months since she got cancer and had to do chemo and surgery. we were all very worried about her, but she's doing much better, although she says she has like no energy, so she's easing back into this normal life thing. she brought me a tasty tasty treat that her daughter made. it's a tofu chocolate mousse dessert with strawberries and kiwi on top, chocolate syrup drizzled across it, and a walnut/graham cracker crust. i feel spoiled.

in two hours i'm going to class. the rough draft of my essay is due, and i totally knocked that shit out last night. yay me. maybe i will post my final draft when it comes round. i'm particularly fond of these american studies essays. i was born for this major. even if i'm i've not got mad essay-writing skillz.

tomorrow, ali is going to come to my classes with me and be college student for a day. i think it will be good times.

speaking of ali, sisters are lovely. we have devised a plan for Stacey, Ali, and I to live in the same neighborhood when we're older. each of us with our little house and little family. it will be very communal and very happy, versus isolated and bitter. i want that to happen more than i want most things.

if you didn't know, i'm at work, like i always am on tuesdays and thursdays. i've wasted more than thrice as much time as i've actually worked today. so i'm going to go get a few things done.

somehow today is an amazingly wonderful day. i'm just filled with feelings of joy and appreciation. i shall encourage that to continue, and try to spread the joy around, preferably with lots of hugs, so if you're smart, you'll run into me today.

ps- i've got to update this entry already, as i've just found out about a wonderful event tomorrow. As you may know, A.S. elections start tomorrow, and while last year i paid very little attention to them, this year i have somehow been much more aware of it. the school is hoping to have a much higher voting percentage this year since we can vote online, as opposed to the usual 22% who vote. If you are interested, the following are the official Environmental Studies endorsements:

President:Bob Ray
Executive VP: Thomas Witcher
VP of Business and Finance: Mike Palotay
VP of facilities and Service: no recommendation
Director of Legislative Affairs: Nicole DeMartini
Director of University Affairs: Tommy Brockert (Write in)
Commissioner of Activity Fee: No recommendation
Commissioner of Community Affairs: Chris Porter
Commissioner of Environmental Affairs: Annie Sherman
Commissioner of Multicultural affairs: Kendra Woerman
Commissioner of Student Affairs: Nick Miller
Revenue Sharing: (vote for 2)Students For Environmental Studies and either E-ARC or Scour and Devour
Vote yes for the Referendum Activity Fee and Yes on measures A and B.

go to www.aschico.org tomorrow or thursday to vote!

And if you support the measure to not allow those living within a one-mile radius of campus to purchase parking permits, and to expand the bike lanes, you should come with me to Mark Stemen's tomorrow morning. I am going at 8:30am for breakfast (remember how tasty it was last time?) and then at 9:00am, everyone will bike to campus in a show of support for alternative transportation. It will be a tasty and good time. I don't actually have class till 11, so Ali and I may bike around town and have good times from 9-11 if you'd like to join that as well. el fin.
