momentary perfection

Jeff, your friends are cool. they should visit again. oh and you are cool too, not just your friends. haha. and by cool, i don't mean "cool," i mean interesting and fun to hang out with, and they integrated into our weirdo group so well. which is definately a compliment.

today is wednesday, January 7, 2004, and i am at work. today Curt, Emilie, and I arrived early to our intercession class, Political Science 55. Early being when it started, but the teacher hadn't arrived yet so everyone was waiting in the hall, and we felt really early. its very neat that the 3 of us are taking this class together, because its helping us do so well. every morning, curt wakes up emilie and i, because he's apparently good at that so long as people are relying on him, and me, i'm never good at waking up. then, we all drink coffee at my house while i finish getting ready, curt drives us to the boy's house, and we walk to class. During class, Curt types notes and the day's quiz on his laptop, and then plays with photoshop, while emilie and i try to stay awake and take good notes. our teacher seems like a cool guy, and i like the class a lot so far. even though its only the third day, and its at 8:30 in the morning. today, curt woke me up by carrying me into the bathroom so i could take a shower like i wanted to and could never have done on my own. then he made me waffles and i made coffee and we picked up emilie and brought her coffee and were off to class. it was a good morning. everyday class is followed by lunch downtown somewhere. that could get expensive, but i like it a lot, and i have work everyday at 1 so there's not really time to go home and eat. or at least i like to say that. so that is class so far and its good.

last night, curt and i went to the pageant and saw Pieces of April. its a really fine movie and i reccomend seeing it. curt thought it was excellent too, so you know i don't just like it because i'm a girl. the ending is so great. when you see it you'll know what i mean. it was just a clever way to do it and it works purrrrfectly. after the movie, we went to his house and sat out on the roof and talked. that was really neat because i love being outside and talking, and being on the roof is always fun. i got sort of worked up and talked a lot, but it was nice to do, then i made curt talk for a while and i felt much better and a lot more calm. so we just sat outside together and felt nice for a while.

so i'm at work until 5 today, and then emilie and curt are picking me up and we're going to moxie's or the bidwell perk to study, then we're all going to the spa at Fit One Athletic Club again, because curt got a whole pile of day passes for free from work.

My january is going well, and January is my favorite time of year. i hope you're feeling lovely right now too.
