let's toast to tomorrrow

hello from katie's room. which is where i usually post from. so i don't know why you should get excited. so stop. now. no getting excited. really man, just chill out!

okay. now that we got that figured out. today i went to four classes. including 2 sections of french. plus 3 other classes. it was a fabulous day. in class #1, research methods in psych, i sat by a cute boy and he whispered funny things to me all during class and shared his cough drops with me because of both of our sicknesses. in class #2, french, i learned to have an extremely short conversation, in which i learn if someone is good, very good, not very good, and their name. in the formal and familiar ways! yay! and then in class #3, socio-cultural psych, my teacher was really awesome and took the entire hour taking role and asking people about their names and their families traditions. and then he told us that his teaching method is very nontraditional and that the chairman of the department wants him to teach more traditionally, but that his way students have more fun and learn more so he's going to keep doing it anyways. class #4, american folklore, is fab too. ben from azalea drive is in my class, and i mean i didn't talk to him or anything, but he's nice to look at. there's only like 10 of us, and i thought it was going to be an online class, but its not. buti guess thats okay because i probably wouldn't do much work if it was. so our teacher is this cute older ladya nd she was talking about modern folklore and how it gets into popculture and so she showed us some examples today amongst talking about the syllabus, and said words like "whoopass" "ass" and "everyone has to get naked." it was wonderful. and then i only had one hour of work. tomorrow i work from 10:00 to 1:30, and then drawing B from 2-4:50, which is going to be a great class, because half of it is figure drawing, and thats what i really want to do.

so tonight, we're celebrating day one of classes. thats right, we're drinking. you may call us crazy. but we're chico kids, and we're hardcore. okay, so we were just locked out of the duplex and after a little frisbee throwing, still no one had come home, so we did the next best thing. we came to my house and drank the alcohol left over from katie's bday party. aka hornsbys and whiskey and coke. so we're not drunk. just a little buzzed. playin with the bunny, who's new name is pooter. you'd better not call her anything else.

so i'm looking forward to this semester. i think its going to be awesome. my classes are fab, and i'm feeeling motivated to work hard, especially with cheapskate mondays and kickass movies like The Triplets of Belleville. so here's to the semester and lots of progress in the way of life.
